Our City National Bank trademark is the graphical representation of our company and embodies the values we stand for—strength, modernity and confidence. To maintain brand integrity and keep it looking sharp and consistent, the size, color and proportions are fixed and may not be altered in any way.

  • All uses of the City National Bank logo must strictly adhere to the guidelines outlined in this document.

  • Unauthorized adjustments, alterations or distortions are prohibited.

  • For external vendors and partners, prior written approval from City National's Brand and Creative Team is required before using the logo in any collateral or marketing materials. Non-compliance may result in the withdrawal of logo usage rights.

  • When submitting the logo to a third party:

    • Ensure compliance with RBC's policy on third-party logo usage.

    • Verify that a written agreement that authorizes the usage of City National Bank logo is in place.

    • If no such agreement exists, the exception must be reviewed and approved by Corporate Communications and Brand Strategy & Creative.

Member FDIC Guidelines

The “Member FDIC” logo signifies that the bank is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). It indicates that depositors are protected by the U.S. government up to applicable limits and helps provide peace of mind for depositors. When in doubt, always reach out to your marketing and compliance partners for guidance.

Use Member FDIC:

In Marketing Materials (Deposit Product & Service Related)

To emphasize the safety and security of depositors. This includes brochures, flyers, online ads, billboards, etc.
(If standard FDIC disclosure is already on asset, you do not need an additional FDIC disclosure.)

Bank Website & Mobile App

To clearly communicate the level of protection offered to depositors. This should be prominent on pages related to accounts, deposits, online banking and client services.

Physical Locations

To inform clients at every point of interaction. This includes bank branches, ATMs and any place where deposits are accepted.

Client Communications

When communicating with clients about their accounts, deposit products or any information related to the security of their funds.

Do NOT Use Member FDIC:

General Company Information

Press releases and investor relations materials.

*Please note: Hybrid marketing pieces such as those including investment products and deposit products, need to be appropriately separated and have clarifying disclosures.

Non-Deposit Products

When marketing loans, credit cards, investment products or any other services that are not FDIC-insured.

Situations Where It May Mislead

Avoid using the logo in a way that could suggest that non-deposit products or services are also FDIC-insured.
